Amazon & Ecommerce VA

Amazon virtual assistant and ecommerce VA: listings, seller account management, inventory, orders and customer messages. From a VA who writes code.

  • From $10/hr
  • Remote, worldwide
  • Free 20-min discovery call

Product listings, order processing, inventory, customer messages and store upkeep across Shopify and Amazon. Handled by someone who can also fix the code when the fix needs code.

Most ecommerce virtual assistants can work a queue. Fewer can open the theme file when a listing renders wrong, or write the script that reconciles 400 SKUs between two catalogues. That second half is where stores actually lose money, and it is the half I cover.

What an ecommerce VA does for your store

Product listings and catalogue work

Adding and editing products, variants, images, metafields and collection assignments. Titles and bullets written for how people actually search, not copied from your supplier’s spec sheet. Bulk edits by CSV or script when the catalogue is too big to click through.

Order processing and fulfilment

Daily order review, tracking uploads, supplier and 3PL coordination, returns and refunds. The routine that stops a store quietly bleeding chargebacks and unhappy reviews.

Inventory and multi-channel sync

Keeping stock accurate across storefronts and channels. This is where most VAs stop and most problems start, because the fix is usually a script or an integration, not more manual checking.

Customer messages

Answering pre-sale questions, order status, shipping and returns, in your brand’s voice, inside your helpdesk. Escalating what genuinely needs you.

Store upkeep and on-page SEO

Collection and product page titles, meta descriptions, alt text, internal links and structured data. Broken link sweeps. App audits. Theme fixes when a listing displays wrong.

The part most VAs cannot do

I write the code. Liquid, PHP, JavaScript and SQL. So when the task turns out to be technical, there is no handover and no second contractor.

In practice that means: a custom Shopify section instead of another monthly app subscription, a script that merges twelve supplier CSVs instead of a week of copy and paste, a theme conflict debugged after an app update instead of a support ticket that sits for five days, and a Core Web Vitals fix instead of a report telling you that you have a problem.

Proof, at multi-store scale

I currently run five Shopify storefronts for DECKO across Australia, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand and the United States. Five catalogues, five currencies, five sets of shipping rules.

Multi-store work is a different discipline. Changes have to land consistently without drifting between regions, product data has to stay aligned, and anything hardcoded in one storefront will eventually break in another. That experience is the reason a single store is straightforward.

Full store builds: Adaptive Automate, a tech accessories retailer, and Synful Novelties, a lingerie brand. Custom landing pages instead of apps: VIP cashback, B2B partners and affiliate referrals.

What this costs

My rate is $10 per hour. No agency margin on top, because there is no agency. You are hiring the person doing the work.

Most stores start with a part-time weekly block and scale from there. For project work, such as a store build or a migration, I quote a fixed price up front so the number does not move unless the scope does.

Worth being straight about this: you can find $4 an hour elsewhere. What you get at $10 is someone who reads Liquid, writes SQL, and has run five storefronts at once, so the technical half of your backlog stops waiting on a developer you have not hired yet.

How we would start

You send your store URL and your backlog. Whatever is piling up. I look at the store before we talk.

We do a 20-minute call. I tell you what I would take off your plate first and roughly how long it takes.

A paid trial week. Small, defined, no retainer commitment. You see the actual work before deciding anything.

Then a weekly block. Adjustable up or down as the workload moves.

Questions before you hire

Shopify, Amazon, or both?
Both. Shopify is where the deepest proof is, including the five-store DECKO operation. Amazon covers listings, inventory, order handling and account upkeep.

What are your hours?
I work Philippine Standard Time, UTC+8. That is full overlap with Australia and Asia, and early mornings with US clients. Messages answered within 24 hours on weekdays.

Can you actually edit my theme, or just use the admin?
Theme code. Liquid, CSS and JavaScript, always on a duplicated theme so nothing goes live before you have seen it.

Do I have to commit to a monthly retainer?
No. Start with a paid trial week.

Will you handle customer emails?
Yes, in your helpdesk and your brand voice.

What if the work turns out to need real development?
Then I do it. That is the point of hiring someone who writes code. See full-stack development for larger builds.

Start with a trial week
