Synful Novelties, Shopify Store Build
A full Shopify store design and build for Synful Novelties, a lingerie and intimates brand. Editorial, mood-driven design with curated collections, a brand story, and discreet-packaging messaging built around a "quiet confidence" positioning.
Synful Novelties needed a storefront that felt like a fashion brand, not a generic catalogue.
The problem
Lingerie and intimates is a category where tone decides whether someone buys. Default Shopify themes are built to be neutral, and neutral reads as cheap here. The store also had to handle discretion and trust, because the buyer is thinking about packaging and privacy before they are thinking about the product.
What I built
An editorial homepage. Themed sections including The Wicked Side, For Her Night and Curve and Confidence, so the store reads like a magazine rather than a product grid.
Shop-by-collection blocks. Lingerie, babydoll and bodysuits, letting a shopper navigate by intent instead of scrolling a single catalogue.
Consistent merchandising. A featured-products grid with uniform image treatment and hover behaviour, which is what makes a small catalogue look like a real brand.
A founder story section. The reason the brand exists, stated by a person, which does more for trust in this category than any badge.
Discreet-packaging messaging. Surfaced early rather than buried in a shipping policy, because it is a genuine purchase blocker.
Newsletter capture. Positioned so it does not interrupt browsing.
The stack
Shopify with custom Liquid theme work. Sections built directly in Liquid rather than assembled from apps, which keeps the page weight down and means the layout does not depend on a monthly subscription staying paid.
