Thirty minutes, free, no pitch. The point is to work out whether your project is something I should be doing, and roughly what it would take. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need a developer at all, and I would rather tell you that on a call than after an invoice.
What you leave with
- A clear answer on whether I am the right person for it, and if not, who or what is
- The approach and the stack I would use, and why
- A realistic timeline and a rough cost range
- The next step: if we go ahead, a written scope with a fixed price and a delivery date, before you pay anything
How booking works
Pick a day, then a time. Times are shown in your own time zone, found from your browser; search for any other city above the calendar to change it. Choose 30 or 45 minutes if you want the longer slot. Add your name, your email and, if you have one, a subject or a website address, then book.
The calendar invite with the Google Meet link arrives by email straight away. Reschedule or cancel from that email if the time stops working for you. No account, no sign up.
Scheduling
I am in the Philippines, on UTC+8. I keep flexible hours for clients in the US and Europe: my afternoons are the European morning and my late evenings the US morning. Pick whatever slot suits you and I will make it work.
Who the call is for
Business owners and teams who are planning something and want a straight answer before spending money:
- a new website, web app or online store
- a mobile app for iOS and Android
- an automation that connects the tools you already use
- a fix or a rebuild of something that is not working, including a project another developer left half-built
You do not need to know the technology. Knowing the problem is enough.
What we cover
The problem, not the solution. Tell me what is going wrong or what you are trying to launch. I will push back if I think the solution you have in mind is heavier than the problem needs.
What exists already. An existing site, a half-finished build, a spreadsheet the whole business runs on. Anything I would be working on top of.
Scope and rough cost. You will leave with a realistic sense of both. A written quote follows if we agree it is worth doing.
Your questions. How I work, what happens after launch, what I have built before.
Before the call
Send a URL if there is one. If it is a Shopify store or an existing site, I will look at it beforehand so we are not spending your thirty minutes on things I could have checked myself.
Rather write than talk?
Completely fine. Use the contact form and I will reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
Before you book, the answers
Will you try to sell me something?
No. If your project is not a fit, I will say so on the call and point you somewhere better.
What if I only have an idea?
That is fine. Half the projects I take on start as one paragraph and a screenshot. Bring the problem; we can work out the solution together.
Can I book longer than 30 minutes?
Yes. Choose 45 minutes under the calendar before you pick a time.
What if none of the times suit me?
Send a message from the contact page with a few times that work for you, and I will reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
What happens after the call?
If we agree it is worth doing, you get a written scope with a fixed price and a delivery date. Nothing is charged until you approve it.
