The more specific you are, the more useful my first reply is. Tell me what you are trying to build or what is currently broken, roughly when you need it, and whether anything already exists that I would be working on top of. A URL beats a description every time.
You do not need a spec. Half the projects I take on start as one paragraph and a screenshot.
How the fixed price works
A defined project gets a written scope before any work starts: what is included, the price and the delivery date. You approve it, then I build it. The number does not move unless the scope does.
Ongoing work, like store management, SEO or support, runs as a weekly or monthly block of hours instead, which you can scale up or down.

Development work is $14 per hour. Store management, SEO and support work is $10 per hour. Defined projects are quoted fixed price up front so the number does not move unless the scope does. Ongoing work runs as a weekly or monthly block you can scale up or down.
Working hours and timezone
I am in Cadiz City, Philippines, on Philippine Standard Time, UTC+8. My afternoons line up with the European morning and my late evenings with the US morning, so I keep flexible hours for clients in the US and Europe. Most of my clients are in the US, Europe and Australia, so async is normal and I am used to it.
What a good first message looks like
Three or four sentences is plenty. Something like this: "We sell handmade candles on Shopify. Since last week the checkout breaks on mobile and we have a sale starting on the 15th. The store is yourstore.com. Can you fix it before then?"
That tells me the platform, the problem, the deadline and where to look. I can answer that in one reply instead of three.
What happens next
Within 24 hours on weekdays you get a reply from me, not an autoresponder. If your project is not something I should take, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
If it looks like a fit, we do a free 30-minute call. I ask what you are actually trying to achieve, you ask whatever you need to. No pitch deck.
Then a written scope with a fixed price and a delivery date, before you pay anything.
What I take on

Yes. Most clients are in Australia, the US and Europe. Work runs async, with calls booked at times that suit your time zone.
