Cleanflow, Shopify Storefront Improvements
Ongoing Shopify work for a Canadian client: country-aware FAQs, policy layouts, product messaging and mobile improvements for Canada and US shoppers.

Shopify storefront improvements for Cleanflow, a Canadian utility supply company serving customers in Canada and the United States.
This case study covers my ongoing development and store-support work, including the changes delivered from 5–13 October 2026. I improved an existing store rather than building the original website.
What was in the way
Customers needed accessible, consistent information about shipping, returns, exchanges and payments across two markets. That information appeared in policy pages, product templates, the FAQ, navigation and order communications.
The work also needed to respect the existing Shopify theme, forms and purchase behaviour. Changes had to handle freight items, meaningful product variants and mobile screens without introducing misleading messages.
Six parts, each with a reason
A searchable FAQ for two markets
I built a country-aware FAQ for Canada and the United States with eight topic groups, search and market-specific top questions. Returns and Exchanges have distinct sections so customers can find the right process.
Focused mobile fixes
I suppressed the automatic chat greeting on phones and tablets while preserving the chat launcher and desktop greeting. I removed the meaningless default-variant label from the mobile sticky product bar while keeping meaningful variant information and the purchase action.
Consistent shipping and policy information
I aligned approved shipping information across six shipping pages, seven product pages and the order confirmation email. I also built a shared responsive layout for eight policy pages, with clear sections, contents links and help blocks.
Page cleanup with redirects
I reviewed unused and empty pages, retired selected pages with relevant redirects and retained pages needed by connected apps. I also kept pump-specific FAQ content on the relevant category rather than displaying it across unrelated collections.
A clearer contact page and footer
I redesigned the Contact page around the existing form and readable contact cards. The footer received a responsive layout, consistent contact links and clearer access to returns information. Existing form fields and functionality were retained.
Product messages that respect exceptions
I added a free-shipping label near the price with handling for freight and mixed-variant products. Payment icons beneath the purchase action were limited to appropriate product states, excluding quote-only and sold-out/contact-only items.
The engineering underneath
The work used the existing Shopify theme and templates, with reusable layouts and conditional storefront behaviour. I backed up the theme before changes and retained original templates or fallbacks where needed. Existing forms and FAQ structured data were preserved during the relevant page redesigns.
Checks covered desktop and mobile, Canada and US content, normal and freight products, and the product states affected by the changes.
The reported results are the delivered interface and content changes. Sales uplift, conversion gains and fewer support enquiries have not been measured for this case study. Preview features and proposals that were not approved for release are outside the delivered scope.

I build software, and I measure whether it works.
The same questions I research are the ones I ask on client builds: is it reliable, is it fast, is it easy to use, and is it secure. Those four drove satisfaction in my ICT portal study, and they shape how I scope and test every project.
