The problem

What was in the way

Solar X360 offers several connected systems, from solar air heating to heat pumps and smart controls. The rebuild needed to help homeowners understand those options, explore real installation material and request a quote for the right service.

A product library is only useful when visitors can find what applies to their home and carry that context into an enquiry.

What I built

Six parts, each with a reason

A service-led website

Dedicated pages cover solar air heating and ventilation, ducted heating, automation and insulation, and sun tubes. The navigation and service comparisons help homeowners move from an overview to the relevant system.

Photos, videos and brochures

Tabbed catalogues bring installation photos, system options, videos and downloadable brochures into the relevant service pages. Image galleries let visitors inspect the work more closely without leaving the site.

Quotation enquiries with GoHighLevel

The quote integration is built to create or update a contact in GHL, attach the full enquiry as a contact note and add source and service tags. It handles quote requests for the team to follow up, rather than calculating an installation price automatically.

A responsive interface

Reusable Astro components, Tailwind styling and TypeScript power the navigation, galleries and forms. Responsive image assets and layouts support visitors researching from a phone as well as a desktop.

Enquiries that keep their context

The form collects the selected service, contact details and optional information about the property and location. Service links can preselect the enquiry type, so a visitor can move from a product page to a quote without starting over.

Server-side validation

The quotation endpoint validates submissions and checks a hidden spam field. The integration preserves existing CRM tags and uses a receipt marker to avoid creating the same enquiry note again during a retry.

New ZealandClient website rebuild for Flynn at Solar X360

Built with Astro, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, with content pages generated ahead of time and a server endpoint for quotations. GoHighLevel credentials stay on the server. The CRM integration upserts contacts through the LeadConnector API, records enquiry notes and adds service tags without replacing the contact's existing tags.

The project includes unit tests for quote handling and browser tests for the form. The rebuild is hosted on Vercel; live CRM delivery is checked against the client account as part of launch verification.

Why it matters for your project

I build software, and I measure whether it works.

The same questions I research are the ones I ask on client builds: is it reliable, is it fast, is it easy to use, and is it secure. Those four drove satisfaction in my ICT portal study, and they shape how I scope and test every project.
