MaternaTrack, Maternal Health Monitoring System
A maternal health monitoring system for Philippine healthcare facilities with automated risk classification, SMS alerts, DOH-aligned reports, prenatal tracking, and multi-tenant support. Built with PHP and MySQL.
MaternaTrack helps Philippine health facilities track prenatal patients and flag risk early.
The problem
Maternal health monitoring in barangays still runs on paper logbooks, manual tallying and memory. A health worker tracking dozens of pregnant patients has no reliable way to spot the one whose readings are trending the wrong way, and DOH reporting means recounting the same records by hand every period.
What I built
Automated risk classification. The system flags risk from recorded data rather than relying on a health worker noticing a pattern across paper records.
SMS alerts. Because the person who needs the alert is not sitting at a computer, and SMS is the channel that reaches everyone.
DOH-aligned reporting. Generated to the required shape rather than recompiled by hand each reporting period.
Prenatal visit tracking. Visit history per patient, so gaps in care are visible.
Multi-facility support. Multi-tenancy so several facilities run on one deployment with separated records.
The stack
PHP with MySQL and SMS integration. Health data means the access model and the record boundaries had to be right from the first migration rather than added later.
