A warehouse SKU catalogue for DECKO covering 102 SKUs across 7 product categories. Live search across SKU codes, GTIN/EAN, internal barcodes, and product names, pulling dimensions and photos from a master workbook, with barcode scan, label printing, and CSV export.
DeckoSKU is the internal product reference for the DECKO warehouse team, covering 102 SKUs across seven product ranges.
The problem
Warehouse staff needed dimensions, weight and units-per-box while standing at a pallet, and the source of truth was a master product workbook. Opening a spreadsheet on a warehouse floor to find one row is slow, and slow lookups mean people guess instead.
What I built
Search by anything. SKU, barcode, GTIN or EAN, or even a partial product name, returning dimensions, weight, units-per-box and the EAN instantly.
Barcode scanning. Because typing a GTIN on a phone in a warehouse is how errors happen.
Metric and imperial toggle. For export documentation and international enquiries.
Category filtering across the seven ranges. Durante garage tiles, SPC flooring, WPC and PP deck tiles, Soundscape, Flexistone and Verdure.
Label generation and CSV export. So the data leaves the tool in the formats the team already uses.
The stack
Custom PHP MVC with a SQLite backend and GitHub webhook deployment. SQLite is the right call here: the dataset is small, read-heavy and rarely written, so a full database server would be infrastructure with no payoff.
